In 2019, we drilled 7 new water wells, improving the health of communities and serving 300 to 400 people per day. With the addition of these, we now have 60 operational wells bringing life-saving water to over 100,000 people each year. We have seen life changing results because of these wells. Health issues such as diarrhea and dysentery have decreased by 40% due to better access to water.
In 2019, we were able to complete extensive repairs and increase the effectiveness of the wells. But we are still in need of better transportation for the drilling equipment, as well as the funding to employ a permanent driller.
Our goal is to drill 15 new wells in 2020. You can be part of that by donating to our water project! We cannot do it without you and we would love for you to take our #WaterLogChallenge this month.
Here’s how it works!
