Ongoing PROJECTS & MINISTRIES
We use a dynamic approach to transform communities, by giving people the tools they need for success, through education, economic and agricultural training, medical care, clean water, and spiritual and mental health counseling. Through these ministries we see people become empowered an active in their communities. With the necessary resources to built their lives, people are beginning to thrive!
Education
Hundreds of students are getting a quality education in our primary schools, high school and vocational school. Investing in their education makes an impact on the future of the community.
Clean Water
When UCSS first arrived in Bulike, one death per day was common due to malaria and water-born diseases. Access to clean water is a big problem in the communities we work in. To date we have drilled over 75 water wells so that families have access to clean, life-saving water.
Medical Care
The Nana Health Centre and our mobile clinics are helping the community through treatment and prevention of diseases. Our doctors and medical teams are able to see hundreds of people a day which has led to healthier communities.
Economic and Agriculture Development
We currently have 53 active economic groups with a total of 1335 active members that focus on creating sustainable economic growth, self-sufficiency, and enabling healthy financial practices such as saving and improving community opportunity.
Evangelism
Before, witch craft was the only religion but with our evangelism teams and Biblical training we have planted new churches, held events, and spread the Love of God. This group is reaching thousands people who have witnessed new spiritual growth.
Mental Health Counseling
Counseling has been taking place and is available to all age groups throughout the community. We are able to counsel people on grief, health issues, spiritual growth, economic development, education guidance, and psychosocial support.
