What is UCSS Staff Sponsorship and how does it work?
Staff Sponsorship is an opportunity to invest in the various UCSS Ministry Departments through monthly gifts to each staff team. When you sponsor a staff team, your donations go directly to the programs, ministry efforts, and salaries of that department. Not only will you financially support their work, but you will also have the opportunity to further invest in them by sending prayers, encouraging letters, and gifts their way. This paves the way to build relationships with the staff team you sponsor, showing them that someone far away cares deeply about them.
How does Staff Sponsorship work?
Our years of experience have proven that the most effective way to impact lives is by transforming the entire community. We do this by investing monthly into each of our departments. Making a monthly commitment is a consistent guarantee to our staff that they will have the resources necessary to carry out their day-to-day operations. Your generous donations will help the whole community by strengthening the ministry you sponsor.
How is Staff Sponsorship designed to develop programs?
We’ve highlighted the on-going needs of each department to prioritize where our sponsorship funds go. With the basic needs covered, our staff teams will have room to further develop their programs. Our goal is not only to sustain the ministry that is happening across departments, but also to pave the way for each UCSS Ministry Department to grow.
How do Staff Teams benefit from my monthly donation?
Your monthly donation will be used to provide the necessary resources for your sponsored staff team. It will help cover program costs, ministry efforts, and staff salary for that specific department. Without the funds for adequate supplies and resources, it’s difficult for our staff members to work effectively. Yet, your gift will help relieve the financial worry from our staff, giving them peace of mind about their work. Not only that, but your help to cover salary also allows us to take care of our staff members well. When our staff thrives, ministry grows.
Why is sponsorship for Staff Teams instead of Staff Members?
Our goal with sponsorship is to both support individual staff members and empower the department as a whole. Sponsoring individual staff members would only accomplish individual support. By sponsoring a staff team, you enable the entire department — including staff members — to function better and continue to grow.

What is HelpYouSponsor?
HelpYouSponsor is our online platform for UCSS Staff Sponsorship. It allows sponsors to manage their own payments directly, send encouraging letters more effectively, and stay updated with how the department is doing. Having this platform enables sponsors to best engage with their sponsored staff team through more efficient means of communication, as well as more accessible and current information about them.
How does HelpYouSponsor work?
HelpYouSponsor has three main components for sponsors: payments, correspondence, and updates on your sponsored staff team. Here’s how each works:
- Payments: To pay by credit card on HelpYouSponsor, scroll down to the bottom of the “My Info” column on the right, click “Add Credit Card,” and enter your credit card information. You may also change your credit card at any point in your sponsorship process.
- Correspondence: To send an encouraging letter or prayer to your staff team, click on “Send Message” under the “My Sponsorships” column on the left. You may also click on “Upload File” to send pictures at any time.
- Updates: When your staff team sends an update, you will get an email notification. Log on to see this, then click on “View Correspondence” under the “My Sponsorships.”
What if I don’t want to pay by credit card?
HelpYouSponsor only accepts credit card payments, so if you wish to pay through PayPal or your bank account, your payments will go through the main UCSS donor portal, Kindful. If you wish to pay by check, simply mail them to the UCSS address: PO Box 1374 Columbia, KY 42728. If you’re having trouble setting up payments on Kindful, please contact us at sponsor@ugandacss.org and we will set it up for you.
Do I need an account on HelpYouSponsor?
While HelpYouSponsor has enormous benefits for a sponsor, it isn’t necessary to sponsor. However, the process of sending encouraging letters and receiving updates about the staff team will be more arduous without an account.
What do I do if I forget my login information?
If you forget your username or password, please contact us at sponsor@ugandacss.org. We can easily send your username and a temporary password to log back onto your account.
I want to tell others about Staff Sponsorship! How can they set up their account?
If someone you know wants to begin sponsoring, send them to our website at https://ugandacss.org/sponsor Once they choose the staff team they’d like to sponsor, simply click on their photo, press “Sponsor Now,” and follow the steps provided to begin your sponsorship.
