Dear Friends,
Something is happening – stirring in the hearts of people everywhere I go. It’s not like at other times when I’ve visited the United States, or even at home in Uganda. It is like time is speeding up and an urgency is sensed wherever I’ve been. It’s exciting! Yet, at the same time, it is sobering.
The needs are so great: But, what's impossible with man, is possible with God.
At home in Bulike & Buluya, things used to be slow paced; people were hopeless and didn’t know what to do. Now they wake up and go to work on a farm, with an economic group, or attend a prayer meeting. From this small community, the impact has grown and is reaching other communities faster than we can keep up. Souls are being won because of you.
They ask, "Can you please come? We want transformation to come to us too."
How can we not go when they want to hear? How can we not go when they are dying every day from dirty water? God opens the door, and we go! Friend, as long as you are praying for and supporting UCSS, we will go!
Let me tell you about Nakalama, Banisiki, Innula, Idoome, Buzaya! In these neighboring villages, we share the gospel; a church starts under a tree. They show us their unsafe water sources; we send a team and begin to dig. It is miraculous, and I’m reminded of the scripture:
“For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea” (Habakkuk 2:14).
I will leave you with this video that shows residents meeting to worship God on a Sunday. In the last six months, 600 people have given their lives to Christ, and 50 people were baptized. Praise God! Our ministry and evangelism teams are reaching people and bringing hope to communities with your help. Please stand with us as we go beyond Bulike in 2024.
