UCSS does not simply drill a well and then leave. Our teams of leaders invest in the community by bringing clean water, alongside mental health support, access to education, and many other services that help people build self-sustainable, vibrant lives. The water department works every day to share love in a way that speaks to people’s most urgent needs for clean water.
Water not only allows for the general health of the community, but also aids in farming and agricultural development including livestock and trades such as brick making.
To date, we have drilled 102 working water wells and prepared several sites for new wells. UCSS wells serve over 100,000 people in Uganda each year. We are seeing waterborne illnesses decrease significantly in communities with adequate access to clean water.
Join us in transforming lives for families in Bulike and Buluya.
Things We are Doing
- In partnership with the ministry of water, we have identified and selected a team that have been trained as drillers.
- We hosted several visitors at various wells to introduce them to our methods including journalists, team from around the world, and local water engineers.
- We are continuing to see a significant reduction in water-related illnesses.
For $3,500 you can fully fund a water well for 400 families.
