Education is Essential

Education is one of our most essential ministries. It is the key to the future of Bulike!

Greetings from Uganda! Having been in crusades all week for the first time since COVID, we are excited for so many reasons, and I want to thank you for being here, helping make this possible. Pastors are going door to door and have visited over 200 people during these rounds. We are tired, but I am happy to report that there have been 23 people who gave their life to Christ. Now that is good news! That is the fruit of your investment in UCSS.

In other good news, I want to share with you that September is Student Sponsorship month for UCSS, and as families in the States begin their new school year, we are beginning our third and final term of the year. Students are focusing on their final exams, and many are still waiting on sponsorship, which is why I am writing this week: We are looking for 30 sponsors in 30 days – that’s one for each day of this month. If you have ever thought of joining this part of the ministry, this is the day to change a student (or two’s) life forever.

As you know, even our sponsorship program is holistic, ensuring that our students have their basic needs met (medical care, nutritious meals, clean water) while receiving a quality, Christian education. Beyond that, however, knowing that they have a sponsor standing with them makes them know that they are seen, loved, and cared for by a friend on another continent. Our students go on to become self-sufficient adults, changing, not only their destinies, but those of their family and friends as well.

In closing, I humbly ask that you pray about investing in this sponsorship ministry. Would you even share this opportunity with friends, family, and church? There is a graphic here that you can copy and paste into an email, and you can do the same with the link below. We talk about it every day on our social media; please follow us if you don’t already and share our posts.

There are so many ways to make a difference through UCSS, and I know not every project is for everybody. Still, I wanted to let you know about our September, 30 for 30, Sponsorship Campaign, so we can pray together for the future of the youth of Uganda.Thank you for reading this lengthy email, but most of all thank you for standing with me in prayer, God’s greatest gift. May the grace of God be upon you as you spend time with you family during this Labor Day holiday. God’s continued blessings. Your Brother in Christ, Ronald… Dr. Ronald KaluyaFounder/Executive Director:Uganda Counseling and Support Services
