Planting in Faith. Reaping in Life.

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.

1 Corinthians 3:6-9

In this hard season, we are standing with you in prayer and hope.

Dr. Ronald

Since our last update, so many things have happened. The beauty and promise of spring has been overshadowed with this cloud of COVID-19, and no one is exempt from its intrusion. Even here in Bulike we have now been placed under the same protocols as many other nations. While praying about this email, however, instead of fear, my heart began to lift in praise as I thought of the Bulike of 9 years ago. An outbreak like this would have easily caused the deaths of so many, but today with clean water, fresh fruits and vegetables, teaching in hygiene and self-care, we are hopeful to come through this with you and because of you.

Friend, it is because of your desire to share in this vision to transform Uganda one village a time that our people are able to follow the CDC’s guidelines to fight this virus. The recommendation to wash hands often would have been impossible as there was no access to clean water. Before UCSS, this would have meant certain death.

All this to let you know how thankful we are to walk alongside you on this journey. I am praying for you today, and I hope the above video of what you are making possible will lift your spirits and encourage you in the good work you are doing as we stand together for the families of Bulike & Buluya. In closing, thank you for all that you have done and are doing for UCSS. We will get through these difficult times together. Thank you for your continued prayers .

Your Friend & Brother in Christ,

Ronald

For as the earth brings forth its sprouts, and as a garden causes what is sown in it to sprout up, so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to sprout up before all the nations. – Isaiah 61:11
