Our hearts are full here in Uganda, and I wanted to make sure that you know that it is because of you – and all of our UCSS friends and partners – that this is so. Thank you for making it all possible. I hope that you do not get tired of hearing me say this, for even though it has been 10 years, it seems like only yesterday that I looked around me and hopelessness was all I could see. Today, I look around and I’m so grateful that God chose to bring us together for this kingdom work! I’m so glad that you are here!
And here we are! Hope abounds because of you. Last week’s crusades saw more souls renewed by grace and truth through the preaching of the gospel. This week’s ministry, staff meetings brought vision and unity for the work. And! Our students are back for their third and final term (click here to see) of this school year. Do you see why we are rejoicing? Do you see the hope in their faces? Glory to God! Furthermore, I am making plans to come to the States for our Journey of Hope Vision Banquet (click here), and not for that only, but also to see as many of you as I can while I am there (schedule here). I will be streaming live from Virginia on the night of the banquet, October 13 at 6:00 PM Central Time. Whether you gather with your church, a small group of friends and family, or just yourself wherever you happen to be, can I count on you to tune in? I will have a special message just for the evening. Finally, in all this planning, we know the Lord’s purpose will prevail, and we do not want it any other way. If it is His will, therefore, let’s try and connect in person in October. By the time you receive this, we may have already spoken and made plans, but I do not want to miss an opportunity. May we never be too busy to stop and share in His presence about the good things that He is doing. I could never do this without your friendship and support.
