Ten Things We are Thankful for in 10 Years of Ministry

“So Hezekiah received the letter from the messengers, read it, and went up to the house of the Lord and spread it out before the Lord… and prayed… Incline your ear, O Lord, and hear; open your eyes and see…”

2 Kings 19:14-16

Dear Friends, As I think about all that you, my partners and friends, have made possible – like Hezekiah – I lift it all up before Him and say, “Look, Lord, what your people have done in your name! Hear, Lord, the praise it brings to your name!” It is no small thing what UCSS donors have done this past decade. Here are a few things we are most thankful for in Bulike and Buluya:

  1. There have been 73 fresh, water wells drilled in the past 10 years. Each well serves over 400 families each day.
  2. There are 435 patients treated each month at Nana Health Center. People are no longer dying every day in our communities.
  3. Thirteen churches have been founded. Witchdoctors no longer prevail among our families.
  4. There are 58 economic groups. Poverty is being pushed back and families are becoming self-sufficient by the grace of God.
  5. There have been 53,000 trees planted so that the land does not erode, and fruit trees provide food and a means of income as well.
  6. There are now 138 acres of farmland producing crops where there used to be overgrown fields with only weeds and brush.
  7. There were 4160 salvations in 2021 alone! Heaven is being populated while hell is being plundered!
  8. There are 768 students in school despite the pandemic. A generation is being transformed with hope for a future.
  9. There were 480 people counseled each month with truth by our Mental Health Facilitators each month. Precious minds are being set free by the love and the word of God.
  10. There are now 12 model farms where men and women learn modern ways of agriculture. Men no longer sit idle with no hope; instead, they have purpose and provide for their families.

As you read this, I hope you can hear the voices of all the families whose lives are forever changed thanks to you. There will never be enough words, and I can never say it enough times… Thank you my dear UCSS family! I hope you will read the rest of this newsletter and be a part of our end-of-year Matching Campaign. Every dollar given, up to $35000, will be matched, so today, your gifts will go twice as far. Happy Thanksgiving to each of you. God’s continued blessings upon you all!
Your Brother in Christ,

Ronald…
