What are UCSS Teachers doing during COVID?

Our teachers and staff have made some big adjustments due to COVID19

Students don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.

Like you, we long for our students to be back in the classroom, sharing life and learning. In the meantime, our teachers are visiting as many students as possible: on foot, bicycle, or motorcycle – any way they can. Our teachers are going above and beyond to make sure our students know they are cared for, not only by their teachers, but also by their sponsors and UCSS prayer partners who lift our educational department up daily.

In addition to daily visits to students, not only are our teachers taking care of their own gardens and livelihood as seen in this week’s video, they are also the ones taking care of the school gardens. They are fertilizing. They are chopping. They are digging. They are setting an example for our youth that says, someone cares and even in uncertain times, God will never leave you.

This pandemic will pass, and thanks to our teachers and leaders here in Bulike and Buluya, our students will be able to return to their schools and eat from their gardens, drink from UCSS wells, and continue growing in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ thanks to you. We cannot do this without you. Thank you for standing with us with your prayers and support, now more than ever.
