Dear Friends,
There is an inspirational quote that says,
“The beautiful thing about learning is that
no one can take it away from you“.
I believe this is why UCSS is bringing about lasting change to the communities in which we serve. We do NOT go into a community with the resources you provide and give supplies then leave. We inspire. We teach. We train. The transformation takes place when those we have inspired, in turn, inspire others and when those we have trained, again, teach others.
This is possible because of friends like you who stand with us and support the life-changing ministries that we provide. Our tailoring program, as you can see in the video below, is making all the difference for the women who become involved. Where there was no hope to change their future, there is now a life-skill they can learn through which they are able to provide for their family.
This giving season I wanted to remind you that the gifts you give really do keep on giving. How can I thank you enough for the things you are making possible with your prayers and support? There are not enough words to convey my heart. I can only pray that you know that I recognize that UCSS is here because you are here, and by God’s grace we will continue this transformation together.
In closing, as the flood of promotional emails fill your inbox and ads take over your feeds, I hope you see this post for what it is: the promotion of the unconditional love of God being spread in order to improve the quality of life for the people in the villages of Eastern Uganda. As long as God is building the house, we know he will provide the workers. May His peace lead you through the holidays and into the new year.
