Dear Friends,
Today we are drinking from the well of Thanksgiving, and it is fresh and overflowing toward all of you reading this newsletter! According to 1 Thessalonians 5:18 we are to give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for us in Christ Jesus. Here, in Uganda, when we had only one well, we were thankful; when we had 24 wells, we were thankful – how much more are we thankful today with over 75 fresh water wells in the communities of Bulike and Buluya? When will we stop, you may wonder…
When UCSS began, it was with the vision to transform Uganda one village at a time. Like the ripples of water after a stone is tossed into it, this transformation from Builike, to Buluya, and now beyond, continues with no plans of stopping. When UCSS comes to a village, there is change. There is peace as Katrina shares in this week’s video, because with a UCSS water well there is always the message of the real water of life that only flows from Immanuel’s veins: everlasting life, unending love.
God has given us this vision, and His promise to never leave us or forsake us remains. As we wrap up 2022 with hearts full of gratitude, we are looking forward to what’s ahead – looking forward to the next ripple of transformation. Thank you for remaining with us through the years, and thank you in advance for moving forward with us into the future. It is no small thing what UCSS friends like you have made possible in poverty stricken areas here where there was no hope. But, when the God of all hope arrives, nothing is impossible.
In closing, I pray that this Thanksgiving message encourages you to know that God is very near and wants to fill your hearts and homes with this same hope so that you too will be able to give thanks in all circumstances. Thank you for reading this long email and for being with UCSS to the end.
