Gratitude from Uganda

This month, we come to you with gratitude, and to ask for your prayers next month.

Dear Friends,

Before January is over, let me say Happy New Year once more! We close out 2021 with thanksgiving for all that God has done – and for you for letting God work through your heart and your resources. I know I say this a lot, but if it were not for you, none of the work here in Bulike and Buluya would be possible.

Through one of the most uncertain times of ministry, your partnership has reaped a harvest of hope and faith for the families here, that only a decade ago was not fathomable.

Let me share what the week leading up to the New Year looked like:

  • A night of prayer for all UCSS partners, for specific needs some of you made known to us, and for God’s divine direction
  • Competitive, friendly sporting games between churches that started with prayer, sharing the word and more prayer during half-time, and prayer and invitation at the end. Many received the Lord Jesus!
  • Ministry training, fellowship, and goal setting that set the tone for the beginning of, not just a new year, but a new decade!

Thank you for being here and helping make the difference for so many.

Finally, with February upon us, I want to remind you that this is our annual month of prayer, and you are invited to become an Official UCSS Prayer Partner. I know many are praying already, and we have 18 Official Prayer Partners. What if each of you dedicated time each day, each week, or even once per month to pray specifically for this ministry and our various departments? We have a UCSS Prayer Journal that we will send you if you’d like to partner with us in this way.

This is the kind of connection we are praying for.
A Story of Hope
When one of our pastors went to follow up with a patient who had come for help at a recent comprehensive clinic, he found her doing well and excited about the Lord. At this time she offered her home to be a church which, in a short time, has now grown into a vibrant group of believers sharing God’s love in the community! Oh, my friends, rejoice with us! God is working here, and YOU are making it possible.

We hope that you are as encouraged by this story of connection as we are and know that God moving. Let’s make February the month where we come together in one accord for the great commission.

Your Brother in Christ,
Ronald…

“But if you will seek God earnestly and plead with the Almighty, if you are pure and upright, even now he will rouse himself on your behalf and restore you to your prosperous state. Though your beginnings were small, the latter days will be great."
