Consider, this scripture with me: “After this, the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of Him to every town He was about to visit. And He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest.”
After this – after all this progress in Bulike and Buluya – I find myself asking “the Lord of the harvest” to send more workers: perhaps new workers just learning of UCSS, or long-time friends yet to work the field. I’m praying this because the harvest field is growing daily here in Uganda, and we need your help to keep the day-to-day operations running. Would you, if you are not already, consider becoming a monthly partner (a UCSS Lifer) or Ministry Sponsor?
- You’ve built dorms, but we have to sustain them daily.
- You’ve built Nana Health Center and supplied a motorized tricycle ambulance, but supplies and gasoline are needed daily, and nurses’ salaries have to be paid.
- You’ve built schools, but they have to operate daily with teachers being paid.
- You’ve dug wellsand provided irrigation, but these have to be maintained.
- You’ve bought land for farms, but they have to be worked and operated daily.
You’ve built churches, and again, the operation of all of this is an ongoing struggle.

As long as God sends the workers into the field, we will be here to see that the harvest is great for the kingdom of God. I wouldn’t come to you all in this manner if the need wasn’t palpable. While I have said many times and mean it each time with all my heart, not every appeal is for every person reading this, but today, if one of the above Ministry Sponsorships speaks to your heart, now is the time.
